Texting and Driving Ban Coming to Boston?

Councilor John M. Tobin is trying to put ban on texting or typing on a mobile phone while driving in Boston. Tobin expects councilors to sign off on the bill and have it sent to the mayer by Dec. 16. Fines would be modeled after other states that have already put a ban on texting and driving starting at $150 for your first offense, and up to 6 months in jail and a $1,000 fine for a third offense. Alarming number of teens admit to texting while driving!!!!!

A recent study
discovered that almost half of all teens have been in a car while the driving was texting!

That’s right half of the teens watched the driver text and drive at the same time!!!!!

And 40 percent say that they have been in the car when the driver has put them in danger becuase they were using their cell phone while driving!!! Unbelievable

If the risk of death and serious injury doesn’t make you fear texting while driving, how about going to jail? How about 15 years in jail?

Utah just decided texting while driving could equal up to 15 years in jail!!!!

New York is the 18th state to make texting while driving illegal, as the hot topic gains more recognition and momentum across the country. Previously in New York state it was only illegal to talk on your cell phone, but now commuters will have to cough up $150 if they are caught texting. Will the fine be enough to keep driver’s eyes on the road and hands on the wheel? Only time will tell. You can read the whole article at:

A new study shows that you are 23 times likely to get into a automobile accident. Texting while driving for 4.6 seconds is being compared to driving the length of a football field with your eyes closed at 55 mph!!!! Be scared be very, very scared. Stop texting while driving now!!!!
