A recent study
discovered that almost half of all teens have been in a car while the driving was texting!
That’s right half of the teens watched the driver text and drive at the same time!!!!!
And 40 percent say that they have been in the car when the driver has put them in danger becuase they were using their cell phone while driving!!! Unbelievable

New York is the 18th state to make texting while driving illegal, as the hot topic gains more recognition and momentum across the country. Previously in New York state it was only illegal to talk on your cell phone, but now commuters will have to cough up $150 if they are caught texting. Will the fine be enough to keep driver’s eyes on the road and hands on the wheel? Only time will tell. You can read the whole article at:

A campaign has been launched in England to raise awareness of the dangers of texting while driving. The approach of the campaign is to “shock” the audience. The advertisement shown below is a TV commercial which contains extremely graphic content. News media outlets in the United States played this commercial due to its graphic content.

Illinois is the most recent state to join 16 others on the pursuit of making it illegal to text while driving. The other states include Oregon, New Hampshire, Alaska, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Louisiana, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, North Carolina, Tennessee, Utah, Virginia, Washington and the District of Columbia.
